Malcolm Smith should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Rounds 13 and 14 : 19th September 2010

Twenty-Eight cars contested two races last Sunday, in conditions that ranged from light to torrential rain.

Andrew Smith (Morgan + 8) led Stan Bernard (Porsche 911) by one second at the end of race one, with John Marshall (Ford Escort) seven seconds further behind.

Race two saw a reversal of the first two places and third taken by Willie Robertson (Datsun 240Z) – his first podium of the season. A mere 1.5 seconds separated the first three cars.

Further down the field there were many close battles. Particularly that between Warren Dunbar (Jaguar XJS), Adam Bernard & Raymond Boyd (both in Porsche 911) crossing the finish line 1.5 seconds apart at the end of the second race.

The overall champion will not be known until completion of the final two rounds on 17th October.
Olly Ross, leader prior to the event on 19th September, saw his chances suffer, due to damage sustained to his Lotus Europa at the previous weekend’s Bo’ness Hillclimb. Having been unable to have his car repaired, he hired a Triumph TR7, finishing both races well down the field.
