I don't think it's wise to award such a title based on one race and without considering circumstances. If the #2 Audi had a puncture or was rear ended by a GT car in the closing stages of the 2011 24 hours of Le Mans and the lead Peugeot ended up winning, would it change your opinion of the capabilities of both the Audi R18 and Peugeot 908?

Of course it is a too radical point of view, but that is what a race like Le Mans does, glory when you win and deception when you don't, especially when you have the fastest car.
