Competing in his first event at the circuit, Robert Bremner, AC Cobra, was fastest qualifier and winner of both races. He was followed each time by the Rover SD1 of John Kinmond, who provided great entertainment with sideways driving. Raymond Boyd, Porsche 911, was third in each race.
Race one had Jimmy Crow, Escort RS2000, in fourth place, Alastair Baptie, Fiat X1/9 and Mario Ferrari, Alfasud Sprint, close behind.
Andy Graham, Triumph TR7V8, retired from race one but completed race two in fourth place, Baptie fifth and Crow sixth.
A new class for 2018, MK II Fiesta XR2, had three entries, Martin Ramsay, Duncan Fox and Duncan O’Neill, Ramsay winning the class in both races.
First time out for Craig Houston, Lotus Excel – unfortunately his day ended after qualifying, due to engine problems.
Next event is on May6th (anti-clockwise).
