TCT is being marketed as a bit of a stepping stone too - but is one really needed.

Looking at the route to the grid of current BTCC drivers, most have gone straight from single-marque series into the BTCC. If anything, TCR UK and TCT are more like a holding ground for teams/drivers due to an already crowded BTCC grid.
