You can see the remains of the front seal on the right! Crank will obviously have to be crack tested, but looks like no damage to bearing surface. The engine won’t be rebuilt in time for Portugal, so we’re stuck with the spare that was fitted at Spa, which is 1991cc and not so torquey. (But should get us into the 2 litre class so not up against the Healey hoards!)
