As Will says, Nigel Reuben has the knowledge....

Having drive a Grantura with the same wheelbase and much less power, I would suggest that the Griff is a bit of a handful…..
Yes the cars mentioned are 200's, (GB 200's not US 200's). The GB 200 is the same body shape as the US 400 and is the only body shape accepted by the FiA. You cannot race a US 200 (Grantura body shape) under FiA rules unless it has been converted to the Manx tail.

Two body shapes are accepted by the FiA, the standard body shape as on the white car for sale and BFR 400B, and the DR Paul body shape as raced at the international meeting at Brands Hatch on 30.8.1965.

The Griff is competitive against Cobras and E types, Nigel Reuben's cars have won the Silverstone Classic, the Goodwood members meeting, the Oldtimer GP, Brands Hatch and Donington Masters races, and finished 4th at the Spa 6hrs, beaten only by GT 40's.

It has also won the Dix Mille Tours 60's Endurance race back in 2011.

The Griff is no more of a 'handful' than any other car in the hands of a competitive driver.

If Dr Bob wants a competitive Griff then go to Nigel Reuben.
