This popped up as a reminder somewhere else . . .7 years ago. 2013 Spa Classic , Mike was there with the Lairy canary, a few garages up from us with the Cortina we were both entered in the PA day/night saloon races . . . a minor transmission glitch prompted inspection as we had plenty of time . . . .
Anyone who knows old Ford gearboxes knows the circlips can be challenging . . . . the tips of my pliers broke . . . Mike watching over said I've got some that'll do the job . . . and sure enough in the big red Wardrobe at the back of his garage were a gleaming pair of circlip pliers . . . he happily handed them over, and they promptly broke as well
