As they only had one set of paperwork for both and if one of them was pulled over you were given 10 days to produce them at your local police station so they would post them to each other if needed. They had one insurance with both their names on the policy. If one of them didn't happen to have the tax disc at the time they would say it had fallen off. They were very quick and quite advanced scooters in their day with good road holding and quite capable of beating some of the motorcycles at the time.

I met a guy in France at a rally a few years ago, a genuine 70mph scooter, comfy too. sensible money compared to a Lambretta too!
