By over-recognition of motor sport that is sanctioned outside of their organisation, they diminish their ability to enforce common rules.
I understand (and agree) that Indycar drivers have the talent to earn more points - but when your organisation (FIA) structure places the sanctioning body as a regional club, you can't deviate too much.
As it is (from an FIA perspective) they are already effectively awarding to Super License points to a regional club series.
