Some affect to look down at drag stuff , but as someone who attends everything from hillclimbs to racing at every level I think drag racing deserves more. It has a fanatical following , the spectacle is extraordinary and the customer care for paying punters puts most other disciplines to shame .[/QUOTE]
Fanatical being the word, we've done the 1000 mile round trip three times already this year, and will be going to the Summer Nationals in a fortnights time.
For me it's just the out and out speed, @ the recent Main Event the European Speed record was broken on both days with it now being 321mph from a standing start to a 1000 yards. Eat your heart out Max, Lewis et al.
