The following questions over 2017 also exist:

Will Halfords Honda find a driver or even sell their 3rd car ?
Will Eurotech receive the ability to continue to run their 3rd car ?
Will BKR continue to run in the championship
Will the Subaru look like a championship winning car going into 2017 ?
Will we see Simon Belcher return alongside Austin at Handy
Will Andrew Jordan make a move to his 3rd team in 3 years

With all of the answers revealing themselves over time I am sure that 2017 is going to be as good or better than the 2016 season !
Regarding your last point. When interviewed on TV after winning Race Two today he was (rightly) full of praise for Motorbase and clearly said that he's planning on staying with the team for a very long time...
