Schrader To Share Seat in 2007

Harrisburg, N.C. -- Wood Brothers/JTG Racing announced Wednesday that veteran driver Ken Schrader and Jon Wood will split time in the team's No. 21 Ford during the 2007 Nextel Cup season.

Wood, son of team co-owner Eddie Wood, will also race the full Busch Series schedule in the No. 47 Fusion he currently drives.

Little Debbie Snack Cakes will continue to be primary sponsor of the famed No. 21 Nextel Cup Ford for 18 races in 2007 with Ken Schrader in the driver's seat.

"We are very pleased to have Ken Schrader behind the wheel of the Little Debbie Ford Fusion for the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup series," said Chris McKee, McKee Foods executive vice president of sales and marketing. "Little Debbie fans and NASCAR fans relate well to Ken Schrader and we're looking forward to a winning season."

Wood, a third-generation driver, will share driving duties with Schrader in the No. 21 ride. Ore-Ida Extra Crispy French Fries and Delimex Delicious Mexican Cuisine are proud to join Wood Brothers/JTG Racing as primary sponsors of the of the car for a limited schedule as well as being a major associate sponsor for the remainder of the season.

"It's time for Jon to get started in the Cup Series," said Tad Geschickter, team co-owner. "He will also compete full time in the NASCAR Busch series in the No. 47 Clorox/Armor All/American Red Cross Ford Fusion. We look forward to getting Jon plenty of seat time by combining this limited Cup schedule with his duties in the No. 47 Busch car."

The team also expects to field a second Nextel Cup car for select races. The team said driver and sponsor relationships for 2007 are quickly coming into focus.
