Its made by the same people as the old Linea (Riva) so its possible its the same (really old) engine.
Here (in spanish) its a video on the old car, they talk about the engine (starts at about 1:55) they mention its the same as the old Tempra (Brazilian 2.0 i.e. 16v i think) which is kinda crazy
