I have worked in the heavy manufacturing industry for over the last decade and know a lot of people who live with amputations every day. It is one of my greatest fears in the work place to have a finger, hand or arm forcibly amputated by a large press or other piece of equipment. I can only imagine what thoughts went through his head when the EMTs were speaking of him being a possible double amputee. Not a nice prospect for anyone, much less a race driver.
Get well Davey. Even though I am not a particular fan of your series and guiding force, I do respect you as a racing driver and want to see you back on the track.
