I had thought of the TVR Griffith 200, the Shelby Mustang and in a quick review of the GT's homologated in 1964/65 noticed the Pontiac GTO.
I would have thought the Shelby Mustang would be quicker than the GTO. Certainly over a lap rather than outright speed.
Its slim pickings at the top of the grid.
