Malcolm Smith should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1st May

Two action-packed races continued the fine start to the 2011 Scottish Classic Sports and Saloon Championship. Bright dry conditions were ideal for competitive lap times,
with several competitors close to or below their personal best at the Knockhill Circuit.

Reigning Champion, John Marshall, Brayon Classic Engineering Escort RS1600,
won both races, each with a margin of around five seconds from Stan Bernard,
Porsche 911. Coming ever closer to the front was Raymond Boyd, Porsche 911,
third on both occasions.

Jimmy Crow, Escort RS2000, and Matthew Gordon, TVR 3000, again impressed
amongst the top six finishers.

Further back, intense battles provided a great spectacle for the crowd.
Notably, competition between the Ford Escorts of Ian Longford and Kieron Bailey,
and perhaps best of all, three Alfauds, at times a few inches apart – driven by Colin Beveridge, Ian Daltrey and Roger Motherwell.

The next two rounds are at Cadwell Park on 4th & 5th June.
