I went back to last year's thread to look through the cars racing in 2010, and came across this comment in one post, 29th July of that year-
"Quite a few "dodgy" cars though. A "modern" Morgan V8 and a Mk1 Escort with a BDG engine, that reputedly cost over £100k to build being the worst example. Sadly the lack of keeping to the technical regs is driving folk with genuine historic cars away."
Out of curiosity, has there been any shift in type & number of cars being raced, Malcolm, or is mix the same?

Mike, the Capri is 'Perana spec' , built last year, to a very high standard.
This year's cars are very similar to those which competed last year.
There are three newcomers in Mini, Porsche 911 and MGB respectively.
The most popular cars are : Ford Escort (5), MG Midget/Austin Healey Sprite (4), Porsche 911 (4) , Alfasud (3), Triumph TR8 (3).
With regard to the reputed > £100K Escort, I've attached a few photos
(the engine photo is from last year - I think it now has fuel injection) . Looks a nice car to me.
