The main conflict of interest from Schnitzer getting too closely involved with anyone's BTCC campaign is that as an official BMW factory-backed team, they'd be risking interfering with the BMW GB-backed Prodrive team's championhip hopes....Arguably, Ford's failure to avoid a similar situation (Eggenberger's BTCC visits and Rouse's TT win) contributed to both championships, BTCC and ETCC going BMW's way....
