However, if the lower cost formula is ratified quickly and everyone knows where they stand for 2008 then that could have a major positive influence in Ghosn's mind.
As i've mentioned elsewhere, if they do pull out as a manufacturer team, I feel that the Renault engines may well stay in F1 perhaps in the back of another teams cars?! Conveniently Alosno has already signed for Mclaren who could well be entering into a seriously sticky phase with Mercedes?!
