Mr Warburton did allude to it though in one of his quoted comments.
As you say, a bit of spin, as we have seen from Supercars, NRL, AFL, Cricket, CAMS, Political parties, the list goes on - most organisations spin their achievements whenever they get the chance, Mr Warburton as a “former” would be highly unlikely to be negative about an event he championed.
