OK I'm wallowing in nostalgia and any passion held for 50 odd years may well pall but, looking at races at Clermont-Ferrand, Nurburgring, Watkins Glen, Brands etc with 4pots, V6s, V8s, V12s all easily identifiable by sound and colour makes the current "sport" look like slot racing.
