rx-guru should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
AFAIK the tarmac track is exactly 1 Mile long which is 1,609 Metres. The 1 lap record for that track is mentioned as 38.3 Seconds, driven in 1989 by Rob Cox (aka Rob Cox-Allison) with a Lola LC88. AFAIK the Lola LC88 was a F1 car and I wonder why a F1 car has been used at Lydden. For my old yearbooks I was always told by TEAC that the track for RX is 1,400 Metres long, although I think this is rather estimated than the correct figure. Before Martin drove 2:28.8 in 1990 the track record was held by Mark Rennison (Ford RS200 E2), who drove 2:31.8 during the 1987 ERC round. In the 1991 ECR Martin drove 2:31:1 and in the 1992 ECR Will Gollop (Metro 6R4 BiTurbo) drove 2:31:7. These are the fastest times I’m aware of.
