But of course the facts are not convenient for politicians looking for excuses to increase taxes on everybody , and motorists are the easiest target .
Errrrr - surely that proves the point of the pollution reducing measures to date? So why can't we push on further and try to do better rather than sit back and say "look how good we are"?

Just because air quality is 75% better doesn't mean it's "good" these days - it just demonstrates how even more **** it was 50 years ago.

I avoid going to big cities as much as possible, I find them unbearably cluttered, smelly and horrible. Get rid of the infernal combustion engine from cities ASAP!
