The accident occoured at the finish line, the car, a 1969 Lotus 63 3ltr, appeared to hit the finish gantry and then fly into the trees and break up.
The driver was John Dawson-Damer (AUS) who also owned the car. No news on the marshals.
It was tragic accident.
