It could be to test the F1 engine, but then it said 6.3L, which is the V12. Plus that "enclosed wheel championship" makes me think wec. They already have the 488 GTE/3 running, no need to be secretive about them. And ~960hp is way higher than any of those, plus they don't have a 6.3L V12, like the F1 car.
