The bigger the event, even held behind closed doors, it’s required “footprint” outside the circuit gets bigger.
The question has to be asked, are they trying to run before learning to walk again?

the same thing can be said of some of the european gt events, the combined grids of the gt3 and gt4 series is upwards of 50 cars, and then you have another 20-odd in formula renault going too.
so i think it's clear that the reason the season isn't starting sooner is that... it can't. it requires hotels to be allowed to open up and ideally offer some catering options. right now, it's not gonna happen. but it's not scheduled to happen right now....
