I also have a vague memory of seeing a horrendous shunt at the Esses ( again bombhole) where the car in question seemed to explode into a million pieces, but no fire. The driver was thrown out and landed sitting on the grass bank at the side unscathed! A bit young at the time, no idea on year but was told later it was Jackie Oliver in the wooden framed Marcos. Terry remember that one?
