There were two European Series this year, the Northern Cup and Southern Cup.
In 2018 the Northern Cup will become the only GT4 European Series again, with the Southern Cup being renamed to GT4 France.
So you'll have one GT4 European Series, the only to accept Silver-Silver lineups, while the other regional series will be Cups and open to Pro-AM and AM only.
As for the calendar posted on the first page, that was the initial plan, but the GT4 European Series will now join all Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup rounds, hence the makeover.
