that's an interesting point of view. If WEC calendar have races of 8 or 12 hours, from the technical side, it would benefit car's design. Manufacturers today have two targets, 24hs of Le Mans and the championship. The cars seems to be designed for the entire championship (all 6 hours races) with Le Mans in mind. With longer races the cars should be more reliable, because of the stress of longer races thought the championship, it should alter the design.
