2014 R11 Hun - Results

Sorry for the late results ...Life, you know how it is !!

So Hungary

Maldonado and Hamilton failed to set qualifying times but were allowed to race at a penalty of 50 points each.

Maldonado had a gearbox changed and was given a 5 place grid drop... in reality this didn't change his grid position but does penalise him 10 points and Lotus 5 points

Mercedes withdrew Hamilton's car from Parc Ferme to continue repairs including replacing a gear box out of sequence, forcing him to start last from the pit lane.

Magnusson reached Q3 gaining 2 bonus points, However the team had to withdraw the car from Parc Ferme in order to repair it including a gearbox change after an accident in Q3. This is adjudged as a "self inflicted grid drop" greater than the Gearbox penalty, with Magnusson penalised 22 points and McLaren 11 points. ( As per ruling on Grosjean in Austria).

As Magnusson had set times in Qualification he was placed in front of Hamilton in the starting order in pit lane.

I think that's everything, so onto the results ...

Tuk Tuk Racing takes their first win of the season with 76 points, four clear of Alcoholics Racing Team who scored 72 with Magnussen Racing and My Thoughts Racing sharing third with 69 points.

In the Overall it's all change with Racing for Sealand dropping from first to Third, Tuk Tuk Racing Climbs from Second into the lead with 801 points, Alcoholics Racing also climbed one place from third to Second with 787 points. 775 points keeps Racing for Sealand safely in third over 70 points clear of the battle for 4th place.

As usual the Fantasy drivers positions are shown below if you feel the need to make a change, the usual rules about selection and values apply. The first is free, 20 points each there after. To make it count, it has to be posted (and I'll try to approve it) before FP1 of the next event.
