He was a real talent in a lot of ways. He benefitted enormously from Ted Field's support, and grew as a road racer/oval racer.
Also, wow, I was not drinking when I created the post and I am a bit embarrassed at my typing (actually a stylus on virtual keyboard) and my serious lack of proof reading ability.
