As I understand it the changes in the WRC will be for 2l turbo 'Group N' cars and 2l atmo S2000 cars, or cars based on these classes, to replace WRC cars around 2011/12.

The likes of Mitsubishi and Subaru can build Group N type cars with WRC spec engines, while Fiat and Peugeot could continue with cars based on S2000.
