Honestly can't see ferrari getting LMDh just to be beaten by toyotas at le mans... but you know... ferrari joining LMP rumors is an annual recurrence during the winter or the F1 summer break, so nothing actually new.
If ferrari was interested in US racing, they could support risi with a proper full season factory/work effort during these years or just put the alfa giulia V6 in an lmp2.
