remember the 24 hour news culture creates the false impression that news that we all need to know about is happening in the first place... it isn't
and people have wild ideas about what they actually need to know about anyway.

this was the right decision. the only conclusion to come to is that due diligence at the team/mercedes is entirely done by white people of a certain age who are disproportionately not affected by the grenfell tragedy and the culture that created it.
you can't look at it and say "well their products were used against recommendations" or with any benefit of the doubt because from a human perspective the entire situation is abhorrant. it creates strong reactions. there's no way this would have resulted in good PR as soon as they made it public. i can only assume that because the company were due to be involved in a building project, the deal came to the team commercial dept as something that was part of a negotiated contract that they didn't have the opportunity to question or argue against.
