Don't think I have ever seen one on the mono grid. I don't know for sure, but its probably too much hassle. It would be cheaper, (and probably a quicker car) to put a 2L Zetec in a FF1800 chassis, fit F3 wheels, some wings, and underbody aero kit (basicly a Comtec car).
How much power is a 16v Renault unit? Would it compare to a Vauxhall XE, Toyota, VW or Ford Zetec? Could you perhaps just change the head, induction and ignition on the 8v unit that is in a F Renault and still conform to the mono regs?
