given how close the title and constructors battle is, i feel that Merc have been pretty vindicated in their early season claims that Ferrari is back and/or could actually be the team to beat this year.

granted claiming 'underdog' status may have been overstating it but Merc/LH do seem to be finding some solid motivation from having supported this narrative.
