Keep the safety regs, cut the aero that could never be successfully added to road cars, give the teams a fuel allocation per car and leave it at that. Thereby getting different engine configurations and sounds and a degree of freedom to encourage the true stars of racing design to really shine. If I enjoyed "formulaic" racing I'd watch the Carrera Cup.YMMV,obvs.
