Spares for a Porsche 944 or 924S can be OK. Porsche lowered the prices of early Porsches some time ago and there are plenty of 944s at specialist breakers like PH Sportscars or Lodge Sports (sponsor of the 924 race series). Plus, as long as you buy well, the cars tends to be pretty reliable anway.

About a year ago I decided not to buy a 924S that I had seen at PH for reasons that escape me now (but probably due to the fact that I didn't have the bottle to front up to my wife with a 5th car!). I regret it now, though. The car had only done 90 000 miles with FSH but it had had a slight bang at the front. It was avaialble for £950 sold as seen or £1250 repaired and MOT'd!!! Should have bought, it would have made a great track day car!
