I was racing on the Saturday. I think it may be possible to expect too much of ordinary club racing. Perhaps that's the reason it all felt a bit lack-lustre for some. For the two novice historic racers in our HRS race, it probably all felt quite exciting and memorable. The HRS race, though not oversubscribed, had some good tussles going on.
It will take a bit of time for MSV's improvements to be completed (remember MSV at Snetterton ?) and I think there are some worthwhile changes. The new restaurant is well-placed but the staff and food supply was a bit erratic. Give it time.
So far as the racing was concerned, entries looked to be the same as last year, and of course Formula Ford support just keeps on increasing. Sunday's race card was a bit thin as allegedly two of the planned races were dropped due to lack of entries so quite an early finish.
