1999 FAI 1000 (BATHURST) - GET AROUND IT!
Looking to get myself amped up for the 1000 this year so I am re-watching a recording of the 1999 FAI 1000. Man what a race.
Those DJR AU's were missiles in a straight line. Were really giving everyone the short back and sides up Mountain Straight and down Conrod all day long.
Disappointing they didn't get the job done but certainly no complaints about the Gibson Wynn's machine taking the bacon - simply a greatly looking race car.
Real keen for some reflections on this race if anyone is interested.
