It was Colin Bond's car from the 1988 ATCC. The car was one of the original OXO Sierras, originally driven by Don Smith in 1987. The car was purchased mid-season by John Giddings who stepped into the driver's seat for the rest of the ATCC, joined for the enduros by Bruce Stewart.
Colin Bond missed out on a new Sierra shell at the start of 1988 and did a deal to use Giddings car for the ATCC while he waited to build his own car. Bond's car was ready for the enduros, so Giddings drove his car with Bruce Stewart in the enduros in Caltex colours. After that, the car was put up for sale.
After Bathurst 1988, the car's only race appearance (that I can find) is at that AGP support race. One of our forum members, bent65, now owns the car (
