Outrageous really.
Mrs 97 has recently completed a fatal accident investigation into a similar incident in the UK. She is a Human Factors specialist who does fatal accident investigations for a living. I wont say too much as the Coroners Inquiry has not taken place yet, but lets just say that in engineering we usually have 2 x safety interlocks / tag outs to try to prevent accidents when working on safety criticsl systems. The Zoo industry doesnt.
Human beings make often make illogical decisions and take short cuts; we often ignore our training and procedures and are then surprised when something goes wrong. Its a nassive shame that the Lion died because of human failings.
Sadly this is the third similar incident that i am aware of in last 12 months worldwide, and probably wont be the last.

As for football, i am delighted to be a Wolves fan at the moment after mostly disappointment for the majority of the last 45-50!years!
