Agree totally with GT6 - reserve a place in Parking Blanc. No hassle for sleeping in the car, I do it every other year during the Classic.
ACO site says there are 125 spaces left. It's the only one with numbered spaces and is just a minute or so from the start/finish entrance - at 40 euros it's well worth it.
