...The hairpin turn at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit that was the site of a death-defying crash [by Robert Kubica] during last year's Canadian Grand Prix will be tamed ahead of this year's race.
...That will be the most noticeable of the $4.5 million worth of renovations being made to the 4.35-kilometre track.
Organizers are also expanding and modernizing the areas reserved for the drivers and their teams...
..There will be offices for engineers, a kitchen for support staff and, in response to a long-standing complaint, private bathrooms for each team...
