The ALMS is probably the best and most even for factory and privateer. The GARRC will do OK, but will lack of big names will limit the initial hype.
As far as the FIA goes, they have done and will continue to keep all other series subservient to F1. Witness the heights DTM attained before Bernie dismantled it. The same happened to the original FIA GT series. Both od these series had real wheel to wheel racing and that is not allowed to shine a poor light on the current F1.
