I think there's a rather large point being missed here: NRL/AFL are on EVERY weekend for 30+ weekends. The Supercars (understandably) are only on, at best, every fortnight. You can talk percentage of events shown all you want, what I know is that as an NRL or an AFL fan I can watch my sport 100% of the weekends its being played live at some stage on FTA.
When team owners like Brad Jones are openly saying that for all the good that the PayTV deal has done in the short term, it is probably hurting them in the long term when trying to attract sponsors to a team, you should sit up and take a bit of notice, surely?
On a separate note, has anyone seen any physical results from the big announcement of Triple M being a Supercar 'partner'?
