I had my fist visit to Thruxton yesterday for a very long time, courtesy of a birthday present from my son and his girlfriend. I actually got sunburn from the couple of hours of quite strong sunshine (and my forgetfulness, hat-wise). I only saw the first two races - we decided to leave before the crush (having taken the best part of 45 minutes to get into the circuit that morning). I confess I found the two races really quite dull and I was surprised to find the competitors far more well behaved than when I used to watch the BTCC regularly years ago. But it was worth going for a
sensational Mini Miglia race........
