BobJones should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
People kept banging on about how much cheaper a TCR car is to buy than build/buy a BTCC car. Which misses the bigger picture.

A team builds a BTCC car to uses for several years as an investment and a driver has to show to sponsors how much return they get for their investment.

If you have one established series in the market, with solid spectator and viewing figures, not to mention online following, and a start-up, the safe bet is still on the established house.

This is why TCR UK will be slow to build up. If you want to gain talented drivers who use sponsorship they have found to fund their motorsport career, TCR isn't the place to go until the series has built up an audience. TCR UK appeals to drivers who have earned enough money from other parts of their lives to then go racing, without having to pitch for sponsors.

I think.
