I know he has also had at least two kidney transplants, also as a result of damage in that accident. The first kidney some years ago was from his brother, and a more recent transplant was from a stewardess whom he met whilst flying one of his planes.... she his now his wife and Mother of his young twins..

One thing we know is Niki is a fighter. Wishing Niki a full and speedy recovery.
I have always been a huge fan of his, going back to his days at March, and when he joined my beloved BRM that was the icing on the cake..
