E46 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
For example I can do comparison in Suzuka track. In 1997 FIA GT championship Beretta did in qualifying (he was the poleman in GT2) 2:07.502. Also in 1997 Sekiya scored a very good time of 2:05.246 (he was the poleman).
In the next year Euser was the poleman in FIA GT with a best time of 2:05.151, but that year the pole in Nippon GT championship was 2:02.939. Today the gap between both is the same but it´s strange, the weight is seemed and the power of GT2 cars is about 120 or 130 ps. more.
